Bio

Luke Nyman is a songwriter, singer, performer, multi- musician playing guitar, piano & bass with equal adeptness, and an ability to jump in to many styles, when playing solo, on his own projects, or with other musicians & singersongwriters, as well as a profound ability in the technical side of things, recording, mixing and mastering various music & spoken word projects for himself & others.

He regularly tours across The Netherlands & plays live radio shows like English Breakfast Radio, Amsterdam FM, & Zaan Radio, either solo as Luke Nyman, or with a duo (Hartog & Luke Nyman) or trio (The Travlin' Tunes). He is part of The Amsterdam Songwriters Guild, & often joins other members like Tony Chapman, Lake Montgomery, Case Mayfield, & Ro Halfhide on stage as musician on bass, keyboard or guitar duty. Recently he's even been playing the rhythm section behind Leendert.

As a kid of 8, he traded in his trumpet for piano lessons, but by 12 rock'n'roll was calling, & when he got the first guitar in his hands, he held on tight & has never let go since. Songs followed by necessity, as did borrowing his brother's & father's cassette decks to record the rhythm guitar part, then the lead part over the top, along with the first tape, only later to discover this technique was called Sound-on-Sound recording.

At 21 he left his native England & settled in Amsterdam, the heart of Holland, & the heart of his new world. There, he expanded his musical & technical talents further to write, play & produce "Man in a Box", "Warring Worlds", & "Naked Flame" albums, as well as set up his own business,"The Computer & MIDI Doctor", helping people with their music studio so they can get on with the business of making music.
